About Saka Dawa: Saka-Dawa date of birth, enlightenment and Pari nirvana (pass away) of Lord Buddha Shakya muni, which is very special holy day for each Buddhist religious all over the world. As Buddhist Tibetan calendar each year’s 4th month is Saka Dawa, during the 4th month full moon is main day to celebrate festival at Kailash. During this holy month, many Buddhist people refrain to eat meat and killed any animals.

Fact about Kailash: The holy sacred spiritual mountain called Khang Rimpoche as local Buddhist Tibetan, Kailash as Hindu religion, which is 6,714m. high above sea level, situated at west Tibet. The rocky path around Kailash 52 km. During the trip most difficult part is Dolma la pass 5,630m. because of high elevation and dry thin air. Local pilgrims walk around Kailash rocky path in a single day about 14 hours journey. But you can do slowly in three days to complete the journey around Kailash. Some people may get high altitude sick, if some one difficult to walk, they can ride yak or pony to complete the journey.
Fact about Manasarovar: As Hindu Sanskrit word ‘Manas’ means mind and ‘Sarovar’ means lake as Buddhism is called Tso Ma pham. The sacred holy lake situated 4,590m. path around the lake 88km. 90 meter deep. Once there were eight Buddhist monasteries around the lake, symbolizing the wheel of life. Most of the monasteries has been disappeared, still you can visit Gotsuk, Seralung, Trugo and Chiu Gompa (monasteries) around the lake. A small spring flow from Manasarovar to Rakchas Tal which known Gang Ga. At the same place there is natural hot spring, you have to pay certain amount for hot shower or bath.

Drive to Bhoudha, biggest Buddhist stupa in the world, build late 15th or early 16th century. Around Bhoudha there are several Buddhist monasteries. Visit around the stupa and different monasteries. After lunch drive back to Kathmandu Durbar Square for sightseeing, visit different Buddhist and Hindu temples, Thamel tourist market. Dinner at continental restaurant as choice menu, after dinner back to same hotel.
