Pilgrimage in Bhutan:

Bhutan is a landlock small country, border between India and Tibet. Bhutan known as thunder Dragons (Drug Gyal) happiness country in the world. Bhutanese are really helpful and kindness people in the world. At country side few peoples look poor but they are happy then other. Bhutan has their own culture and different society. They believe and follow Drukpa Kyagu, Buddhist religion.

 

Bhutan itself not expensive for daily life, even for the foreigner’s accommodation and meals, but the government’s entry permits and visa fees is very expensive. There are many famous and secret Buddhist monasteries in Bhutan. The most secret and famous pilgrim site is Tak Tsang (Tiger’s nest) after Tibet Samyea, Guru Padma Shambawa with Khangdorl Hishi Chogyal came at this place. Guru Padma Shambawa completed his meditation for three years, three months, three weeks and three days (Lho sum -Da sum) at this cave, which is situated near Paro on rock cliff.

 

Bhutan there are several festivals at different major cities with their colourful traditions and customs, gathering many peoples from city and country side, which is very interesting to participate such festival.

 

How to get in Bhutan: There is only two ways entry in Bhutan by flight or by land.

 

Flight: There is direct flight from Delhi, Kathmandu, Bangkok, Daka and some major cities of India to Bhutan Paro international airport (PBH) situated at 2,235m. above sea level 6 km. from Paro city.

 

By road: Between India and Bhutan has three border points.

1.Jaigaon / Phuentsholing Border.

2.Gelephu border.

3. Samdrup Jongkhar border.

Jaigaon / Phuentsholing border is the more comfortable for those trying to reach Bhutan by road. Between Tibet / Bhutan there are not any official border open until now days.

 

Hotels: About the hotel accommodation, there is many international standard hotels from non-star to five stars at Thimpu, Paro and Punaka. There are several restaurants for vegetarian and non-vegetarian as choice menu provide different dishes with excellent service.

 

Transportation: About the ground transport, we provide tourist standards car for small groups, minivan for middle groups and bus for big groups. During the pilgrim period, we provide all the services for hotel accommodation, Buffet meals (Breakfast-Lunch-Dinner) with hot or cold drinks, transportation, pilgrim guide and entry fees. Local time and currency: Bhutan time is +6:00 hours ahead of UTC (UTC+06:00). Bhutan doesn’t observe Daylight saving time.

The Bhutanese Ngultrum (symbol: BTN) is the official currency in Bhutan. Even you can use Indian currency at same exchange rates.
